I'm not that big of a fan of his early works. I prefer his art around the time he made Ayanami and Fubuki K2. He then, in my opinion, dropped the ball when he made Mikuma's summer sprite, but pulled it back together in more recent works for magazine covers and promotional and collaboration art.
