They don't work on a lot of hair types. They really work on asians for some reason, either because of their hair or because they usually have bangs. Westerners work fine with twin drillhair though. Me, I'd prefer double braids to be more common.

I don't think handlebar type pigtails work well on anyone, they should either come from the bottom or from the top-back. I wonder what hanging twintails look like irl though(the kind Kagami from Lucky star has)
