Abandoned mansion, 2 AM.

It is yet another mundane night for the only resident of this deserted home. The poltergeist maiden's hustle against boredom had long since been lost, and neither glory or shame could even romantiscize such a battle. Unglamorous as the passage of time itself, the scars it left upon the ghostly lady's soul had been as disgracious as a loved one being brought down by old age in the worst of ways. No matter the amount of alarm clocks ringing, of church bells resonating, or of full moons shining, the torment brought by such an empty life, desolate of all meaning, wouldn't end, nor diminish.
Amidst this dire situation, Kana once decided to step out of her boundaries, and explore a nearby house. It seemed to belong to a family, as pure as it could get: The house was being lit by a light fire, the smell of turkey made its way across the entire cottage, and photos of the various adventures these folks had gone through were plastered all around the residence.
Kana, lost in the only identity she's known for decades, believed it would be most appropriate to go for a spook on the family's children, as impressionable targets are often the easiest. And so, her hijinks began - Chairs were floating, off-note piano was being played, and other miscealleanous tricks came out of Kana's repertoire to hopefully get a nice scare out of the kids. After all, this is Kana's purpose in this world, is it not?
The spooky spirit couldn't have possibly guessed what reaction this sparked upon the young child. It seemed as if... they were able to see her, and with that came an innocent, yet troubling question:
"What's your name?"
Such a trivial question... but who is Kana Anaberal? She... was stumped. How did such an insignificant interrogation resurface such inner turmoil within her soul. Was she destined to be leading this life of cheap thrills? It reminded her of this adventure that had she taken part of her long ago... The people she had encountered there were certainly weird, but they sure seemed like they had a story to tell, something to strive for. Reminiscing the past like this was almost leading her to the roots of it all: It seems as if she was almost getting in touch with the old Kana Anaberal, yet, this would prove to be yet another fruitless, foggy endeavor. It's as if all her dreams were just... lost, they vanished. Was the life she was leading truly the one she wanted?
Lost in her introspection and identity crisis, she almost forgot to answer the impatient kids, to which she responded with a cold and simple "I'm Kana, Kana Anaberal" and proceeded to float away back to her mansion. Beyond the fact that the kids were not exactly frightened by her, she needed some time for her thoughts to mature, and perhaps find an answer to these questions that most often would abstractly aggress her psyche, but once in a while, such as today, the agony brought upon by these unsolveable questions would be much more concrete.

Just who is Kana Anaberal?
