I think I put more than 100 hours into EoSD before I got a 1cc, and then all the 1ccs after that fell like a stack of dominos with only 10-20 hours of play between them until I got to the one-two punch that is Subterranean Animism and Undefined Fantastic Object and it was reminded that I am not hot shit after all.

Mamizou herself is definitely the actual hard part of TD's extra. I got the stage down perfect really quick but still haven't been able to beat her, even though I got to her last card once. I shelved my attempts to beat her for now—I will get back to it of course after I get some Hard 1ccs—but you should keep going. The only way to improve your skill is to test yourself with things that you can't currently do, and if you stay on Normal you'll never rise above Normal.

I have had almost a 100% clear rate whenever I attempt Mamizou's second card in spell practice mode the last few days, but I have almost a 0% clear rate when I actually fucking fight Mamizou for real.

I'm considering bombing all the nonspells intentionally just so I can soak up more trance from them, since bombs aren't very useful during spellcards and I keep wasting mine. Does that sound like a good strategy? It seems like doing so will enable me to use trance more, skipping several cards entirely and possibly giving myself enough life pieces for a fifth extra life, but I don't know how good the strategy would be in execution because I haven't gotten the chance to use it, since it takes me half an hour to even get to Mamizou solely because of Nue's first spellcard (currently 76/208 for in-game runs) and I keep having to reset due to dying to Mamizou's second and third cards even though both of them are a walk in the park in spell practice mode.
