Sure, but he also said that you can safely ignore 98 stuff like any other fanon work that even in the Satori's manga, Mizuchi's rampage started with EoSD and not 5 games before it.
It's basically like capeshit with their bajillion AU, like yeah sure they mostly share the same setting, character, and whatnot between their universe but it's pretty clear that they're different from each other
