It's probably much easier to use now. You draw up some lines, export it as a wav, and mix it into your song with a DAW. Personally, I make the vocal track in the DAW, export it as a midi, and import it into the editor, but apparently there's some way to use it as a VSTi.

But, basically it should be pretty straightforward now if it wasn't already.

Avanna isn't a shit voice, it's that the English users haven't figured out how to use her. Like all vocaloids she's not really good as singing without support and the genres they've been trying to use her for generally have a large focus on almost completely unaccompanied vocal sections. That or they tune the voice retardedly.

Haven't reached a decision on English GUMI yet, but GUMI's always been rough. SONiKA is definitely shit tier.

From what I've heard in the demos English Miku will still have a really bad Engrish accent, and I'm not sure they can 'clean that up' with feedback. It's like filtering, you can't cover up a fundamentally 'bad' source by trying to filter it.
