It's just how well they would potentially go together. Kogasa is that sweet little sister that you just can't help but dote on - and Sanae is among the nicest people in the cast. Personally, it bothers me how far does the fandom blow her youkai extermination streak out of proportion and make her into a bully. Whereas her approach to youkai is both justified (she's too good-hearted to turn a blind eye to what's essentially murder and cannibalism from her perspective) as well as not actually as bad (her dialogues with Kogasa feel notably nicer than Reimu's and she doesn't have actual blood on her hands as of now, unlike the latter after recent Forbidden Scrollery chapters (regardless of how justified one finds *that*).

There was never any logic in the first place. The people we speak of either needed a stupid excuse to bash on a character they didn't like or are Sakuya secondary fans who needed *some* character to project their hatred on or are so entitled that they believe their favorite character deserves spotlight in every game - even though by that logic she is the sluttiest Touhou to be at the moment.

I suggest you get friendly with the hide option once those shitposting threads pop up so that they die sooner and share your Sanae goods only in good threads like this one.
