Let me share my 07th story with you guys.
Believe it or not but I'm actually a newfag. You wouldn't guess, since I'm really good at blending in with the other oldfags.
I've been here since 2020 when I stumbled across higurashi on steam and was starved for discussion among like minded people when someone over on /a/ told me to visit /jp/. So I came here prepared for the worst but y'all didn't seem too into higurashi at all, and I was instead bombarded with Umineko lore and memes. So I've decided to read up on that as fast as I could and downloaded the manga asap. Some anons told me that it's the same story as the VN only shortened a little bit and I was enthralled immediately.
Sometimes I've come across some bits of lore I lacked and which genuinely surprised me, or people telling me that the VN is somehow different from the manga. But even the author stated that the manga includes his own vision of the conclusion so I don't think you should read too much into little differences.
And now I'm here, veteran of over a year and passionate Umineko lore debater. My favorite girls are Satoko and Erika, my favorite men are Battler and Ooishi. BIG memes are kinda cringe and so are Bernposters.
