The problem is that people go to places like calarts or very specific niche animation or art schools. The only art school you should attend is the generic kind, where they teach you about forms, shapes, color theory, drawing from reference, like the whole fruits in a bowl thing. You need to get all that down, together with perspective.

People who go to "art schools" and end up with a style like the abomination you're replying to barely skim over all of that and teach a specific style, they don't teach art. I know this is annoying, but fundamentals are extremely important. Once you have those you have a roadmap to doing any style you want to do. People like that can come to any studio and adapt to almost any style in a short time. People who finish calarts can only do calarts. It's the biggest scam in the art field.

I'd been up for nearly 3 days, I was going to sleep before all the debuts started but then the first one was only like 8 hours away and I knew I wouldn't wake up for it so I stayed up, then the rest of them kept rolling out.

I'm glad Watson improved. I knew she could be good if she just toned herself down from the debut stream, she proved that a bit in the collab stream.

My list is purely subjective and in no way an objective opinion of who is good or bad. If I had to give a fair rating without my own feelings, i'd say they all have very strong and different appeals that can target different niches. I can completely understand if people like a specific one from HoloEN.
