The premise's basic core was "KING ARTHUR AND HERCULES FIGHT EACH OTHER WITH LASERS", and that was all it needed. The point is it failed to even deliver on that premise because the heroes are no longer the characters from historical myths and history but cheap knockoff of overused anime archetypes with a random mythical name tacked onto it.

This is a big thing for me. Most of the heroes don't even look like they should. Even disregarding genderswaps. They have straight up anime or even Japanese-centered designs-despite not being Japanese (MERLIN), when their own original designs would have been better.

And as a result, they just end up looking bad. Karna, Wu, Heracles, Cu, Gilgamesh, Nitocris, etc. All who had their own great designs that didn't need to be animefied, and ended up looking trash as a result. Gilgamesh is some twink white guy, Heracles is a big, black, rocky guy, Wu is a ugly ass loli. It just goes on.
