-Sending two airbases to the boss gives you a lot more freedom in terms of air power, but you'll have to push past the sub node with nothing but the power of guts. This lets me put a Zuiun on my Hyuuga and drop some fighters from Akitsushima and Hayasui.

-I used a scout plane and AP shell for Mutsu since she only attacks once with the Nagato beam

-Give Ise the rocket launcher that you put on Atlanta. Atlanta doesn't get to activate rockets, I don't think.

-I use the Iwai FB and Murata Tenzan since they have AA resistance. The CarDiv 1 Ryuusei and American FB don't.

-Akitsushima repairs can fix up anyone who goes orange on the sub or PT nodes. But, I didn't need to use it on the clearing run since everyone was green lol

-Technically you should only need 1 barrel on Hayasui to get full ammo on the boss fight, but I went with two to improve my dodge rate. Giving Hayasui more fighters is an option too, since this fleet seems to be cutting it pretty close in air power. I got air parity the first time I attempted the boss.

-Any Kai-2 Yuugumos with event buffs will be much stronger than Ayanami. And, Johnston isn't all that strong either, even with the event buff.

-I prefer DA Kitakami, since most of the damage boost a TCI is supposed to give her is instead lost to the damage cap. Even so, her DA is actually stronger than Chikuma's event buffed DA.

I can't imagine going in with no fighters would work well at all.
