A small css snippet takes care of the overflow. Here it is at the top.
In order to use it, you need to wrap span tags (<span id='overflow'> </span>) around the values you want to limit. These will be cut off at a specific width. See the example, taken from a random director note. Finally, one of the cards. Note how the title is cut off to keep things clean..
