Mei exclusive character, Miyuki's best friend whose father also was a cop, and he died investigating Hinamizawa, humor gimmick is an obsession with sharks. Oddly another tomboyish girl rather than the usual girlish girl/tomboy combos. She is slowly being built up to be basically Miyuki's Gou/Sotsu Satoko.

Due to an incident in the past, she came to see Miyuki as the only person she can rely on but she has a worldview incompatible with Miyuki's that will lead to conflict at some point in the future. Although in her case it's more due to her view on crime and punishment, police and such, rather than school or country towns.
