Fair point. The way I see it, is that the PC-98 memes here create a sense of familiarity among the lurker base across different threads. They are reminders that the conversations don't die when the threads die and that the people posting were there then and remember them. Even if old posters leave and new ones join, the threads remain as they are. Maybe it's ultimately best that we don't know how many active LLS anons there are. LLShu threads on /jp/ have a pretty unique cultural atmosphere with anonymity being an integral part of it, and I'd rather keep it that way.
