Gentle face gives you Smile Field at 40 Will, which gives concentration AND a buff called retention to you and every ally in sight. Retention prevents teleport, increases insanity resist and increases speed which stacks with the speed spell and gravity accel (meaning you can get a large increase by using all of them).

Interestingly enough I can still teleport using a rod with retention active so it must only refer to being TP'd by enemies. Because it buffs everyone, Smile Field has a permanent spot on my hotbar, I use it often along with Cheer. At 80 Will you get Cowering Smile which ''overwhelms'' every creature in sight, but I have no idea what it actually does.
