I have been a NEET for eight years. The first few years were difficult, I was unmotivated, deeply depressed and bedridden for most of that time. I think the reasons that made me a NEET made me feel that way, but I'm not sure.
However, I have fully adapted to this lifestyle now, and I my motivation to work on my projects and consume media is higher than it's ever been. It's not as fulfilling as I would like it to be, but I doubt I could find this fulfillment elsewhere.
