It wouldn't matter. Umineko is far harder to retroactively screw over. The whole message with Ange facing off against Bernkastel at the end was how the truth on its own holds no inherent value. The real important thing is how you interpret the information you're given and how it shapes your perception of the world.

So even if it was a lie told to make Ange feel better, it wouldn't change a thing, since all that really matters is how she took what she learned and applied it to her life.
