She told Marisa that she'd become a wandering spirit that never finds its destination, as her spirit has "gloomy and unremarkable" qualities.

I'd like to see one in Higan, centered around Eiki.

Alternatively, something like that would be good even for a non-Touhou manga. They could make it 'episodic' and focus on the lives of each dead person while they're being ferried across the river or being judged by the Yama. They could come to terms with their death while waiting for their judgement amongst the endless flower fields.
