>Also a Takano thing. Takano was fascinated by Rika as the queen carrier and most concentrated manifestation of jii-chan's research
Rika is said to be the closest person to Satoko in Minagoroshi. Granted, this was from Rika's own point of view, but it still ends up playing a role since like Rika herself speculated she was the one who was able to make Satoko act in the end. Putting that aside though, on a very superficial level, Lambda was obviously taking Satoko's position as the cheerful girl spinning around Rika/Bern, which is why before the new material made people directly associate them more often, some people speculated Lambda actively wanted to -take- that role and had fashioned her current persona around that.
Takano was interested in Rika as a research subject, but it was a relatively small part of her character. We get tons of point of view scenes for her in Matsuri, and Rika barely comes up. If anything, Matsuri ends up setting her up with a more personal connection with Hanyuu. Even before meeting her, her whole character was focused on the idea of "beating" god. Rika was of interest in a more personal way, like shown in Minagoroshi's conclusion due to being someone favored by god, but her focus was on "god" itself even before actually meeting one.

>and was apparently the first person Rika went to for help way back at the beginning of her loops.
Eh, it's not like it was even specifically Takano though, it was Takano and Tomitake since they're the ones dying in the festival night.
