If it's consolation in Nier Replicant (the remake of the first Nier): the super advanced AI noted their future was paved to extinction, but Kaine's actions during that ending were going beyond the probability and starting a new future, so there MIGHT be some hope. That doesn't matter much though because Drakengard to Nier proves they operate on multiverse theory, so creating a new future shouldn't rewrite a doomed one
