I do wonder how Erika is thematically connected to Bern and Rika. Reading Umineko it felt like any real connection aside from Bern being her master got dropped after Episode 5, but R07 seemed to lay it on pretty thickly in the Higurashi Mei crossover. Erika even knows about Oyashiro-sama, dislikes small rural villages and annoys Nao by constantly calling her by "chama". I guess she might be an anti-Rika of sorts?

Like born from the idea Rika wasn't a good detective, but an Anti-Rika might be the perfect detective? Only she just ends up flawed in her own way.
