This is the same for me. My peers who were really into the vocaloid scene in the late 2000s/early 2010s essentially lost all interest by the time 2018 rolled around, which is a little sad to me. Outside of this thread, I don't really talk about vocaloid related stuff with anyone - which is why it moved me a little when my best friend bought me the steam release of Project DIVA Mega Mix+ the day it came out as a random gift because he knew I was still a fan of vocaloid stuffs in general. The songs that were included and spruced up on the 2011 album 'THE VOCALOID produced by Yamaha' slingshots me back to that 2008-2012 time so effortlessly every time I listen to it. Even today if I'm ever feeling a bit down, that album typically reminds me of past good times, and all the anime conventions I used to go to around then.
