The autistic extended lore to justify the HSE slaughter dream:
The blood moon raised the power of mammal youkai (wolf, bat, human) and their bloodlust. Yukari's gap powers only shielded her, Ran and Chen from most of the effects. However, when Yukari tried to nope out of the HSE with her shikigami in tow, leaving the barriers and Anon behind to slow the invaders down, Ran snapped and started a fight with Yukari, partially affected by the blood moon. Ran keeps Yukari's from gapping away with her minor borrowed power in order to fight her while Chen watched in horror. When Kagerou caught up to them, they had injured each other too badly. Ran dies, Chen tries to fight back but can't beat the powered-up wolfwoman. Yukari's gap powers are still protecting Ran and Chen from the blood moon up until she dies. By then, they're already dead. If they worked together they could have stopped it all. Denying Ran, Chen and Takane makes things even worse for Anon because the last "person" he sees before his own death is Yukari, the woman who trapped him but he still has an ounce of pity and forgiveness for.
Bonus: Aya and Momiji job to Remilia. Aya doesn't get the power-up because crow, Momiji's bloodlust becomes resolve, she fights valiantly but Remy still outclasses her.
Yoshika killed Takane, Nitori, Marisa, Sanae, Meiling and anyone else visiting the HSE. Patchy had already drowned in the bath a few days ago so she just ate her. Seiga will pick her up after the blood moon is over to change her charm back to normal.
Mima and Yuyuko stay away because they know they'd just go crazy.
Kanako and Suwako had to help the tengu quell the white wolves, Sanae snuck out on her own, trying to take advantage of the panic to save Anon.
Hana is alive because Aunn turned back into a statue to avoid the effects
Reimu is completely and utterly justified, yet husbandless. She couldn't get there in time.
Bonus Epilouge: After Anon dies, he's saved by his one true love Shanghai. She erases Yoshika's tags, has no blood to drink so Remilia dies of malnutrition, and creates a mini-moon using her elite doll lineage to make Kagerou revert back to human, then kills her. Anon's remains are taken back to Alice who necromancies him back to life and weds him in a convenient suit & tie, wedding dress and archway Alice had "lying around". Goliath officiates.
Actual lore: This is non-canon because Remilia goes against HSE no loli rules (for some reason...) so the foursome with the ghoulies never happened.
