Hello, I'm a hikikomori. We hikikomories have everything we need inside our room. I have education (such as pirated Lynda courses, 1 TB of them), we have a job found through internet, from 3d photorealistic projects to scripting and game development, I have a lot of money and haven't left home for months. I have entertainment, anime, Japanese games and Asian movies which is all I need, westerners can suck my dick. I have the most important thing in the world: Internet.
Normalfags can rot in hell, I'm far more educated than them, and they spend huge amount of time in their day "life" (it is not a life, it is a joke) and meeting with friends with which they don't do anything, just spending time without achieving something. I have won numerous internet compentitions mainly in graphical art and web design and I produce something in my 24s intead of normalfags. Inside is the future. Internet is the future. Normalfags are uneducated pieces of crap trying to pass a social life as a norm. What's the longest you've gone without going outside?

Recovering hikki here. I've shut-in a total of 3 times, most recent relapse was a year ago for a month, longest was about 2-3 months I think. Easy to lose track of time when you're inside for weeks at a stretch. Any others out there?

So after 3 months I've cleaned my room, dusted of all the dust, cleaned and oiled my computer and fans, vacuumed it all over. Basically I did spring cleaning, my room looked awful, how long as it been since you hikies cleaned your room?

I am currently employed as a software developer making $85k/year. However I am increasing frustrated by the long hours and shitty quality of my coworkers and the product we make. Because I'm such a fucking weeaboo I have saved basically none of my money, and instead spent it all on games, figures, and cosplay outfits so I can pretend to be the little girl.

I want to quit my job and become a hikikomori. However I have no idea how you do it. My parents are not rich and won't support me after I've been self-sufficient for three years, and even if I stopped buying and started liquidating my possessions I'd probably only make it a year or two. I could move to a cheaper area of the country / world, but that would just drain my assets faster. I could mooch off my girlfriend for a while, but she wants to do the same thing.

It is living not with people and without contact with the people at all. If you live as hikikomori you have no fun after amount of time has gone on.
