Considering Tia is the only one with corrupted form in Lagoon and she is the main leading force of story instead of Zahaak who feels like tag along and means to accomplist things atleast in start, so I'm prety sure they are planning having the corruption having way more effect on story than past titles.

It isn't really that dark, law routes are fairly easy to accept even for people who arent too much into darker themes, maybe around bersekr level of things or less. chaos routes are for those who enjoy the nasteir aspect of things.

Its mostly protagonist and his conjured tentacles which are extensions of his body, but sometimes the protags do get on the mood of sharing is caring and kicks them into rape dungeon or something similar
