Satoru is actually the guy in the glasses.
Who we thought was Satoru was actually a temporal clone of Enomoto whose memories had been overwritten.

The third personalities in the transfers were in fact Kali's unborn children from the year between the crash and SPHIA.

Hotori is dead. Her consciousness is still free floating until the transfers stop though. The real Hotori was the silent one. Keiko was savvy to the fact that no one at SHPIA really knew her so she playacted Hotori. Everyone assumed that Hotori was just a benign personality. 'Satoru' incorrectly assumed that the real Hotori had become the dominant personality.

The purpose of his whole experiment was to save Lin, who would have died on the mountain. Just fucking with ya. The real point was to confirm that the system actually works and determine how to detach the minds of the subjects from their bodies. So that Satoru could save his sister, Sayaka, who died long ago.

But the real secret is that the project already succeeded. Sayaka's personality was swapped with the mind of Inubushi Keiko and isolated in SHPIA after she went on a killing spree looking for her own body. Sayaka's mind completely broke. Although she was insane (DID) in the first place.

This is why she never once acknowledges herself as 'Keiko', and when she sees the chance to adopt a new identity (Hotori), she does so.

I don't know why she never reacted to Satoru's name. But since 'Satoru' looks nothing like the real Satoru, she probably just wrote it off as coincidence or just her own insanity. Maybe she even decided her old life was a dream.

I mean, I think I've pretty much figured everything (and I do mean EVERYTHING) out, but I can't help but feel like I missed some crucial story arc or something.

Probably old news here. So if you don't feel like discussing this, feel free to suggest something else that will unapologetically fuck me in the brain. Or ask me about things you weren't sure about yourself. I think I've got a handle on it all, but maybe someone has a differing opinion.
