He's referencing this one. It's actually not even very old, it's from 2018-2019, right before the Gou era. Each girls gets one arc, but they're all centered on the premise of Keiichi's parents traveling then one of the girls stays in his house while they're away, then it mixes with the plot of the actual arcs, with someone going insane and the Yamainu attacking.

Making it a gacha where you roll for gifts for the girls and/or stamina items rather than character variations was dumb and killed the game.

No sex, but there was a phone game before Mei which was basically a retelling of Higurashi with more shipping stuff. Rena, Satoko and Mion routes, then after finishing one of them a Rika one was unlocked, although you needed to finish all three to get the best version of Rika's route.

The basic premise involved the chosen girl moving in with Keiichi after his parents travel for a while, and then some events from the main story arcs end up happening between the shipping stuff.

I remember reading comments someone translated the Mion route, but I never saw it myself.
