There's this weird tentacle shadow thing that vaguely looks like the sihlouette of a girl once I get past my screaming instincts telling me I need to get away from it. I'm fairly sure it's attacked multiple dozens of people in my town now, and the fatalities are beginning to pile up.

How best to combat? Edged weapons from mythology preferable.
