Found a partial answer to my earlier question on how to get the midboss rare animal drops. >>21862326 >>21862344
Stage 5: Don't grab any spirits during the boss fight. 99% sure this includes when she appears before tossing out her pattern. If you have roaring mode active before starting her fight, you're fine.
Stage 6: Release your Roaring mode right as you kill the boss (timing is really strict).
Anyone figure out how to get the stage 4 rare beast yet?
