The slower the danmaku and the easier the pattern the closer you can bring your focus to your actual sprite.

So really slow danmaku in easily predicted patterns that comes very tight.

This translates into almost never, though when starting out you will certainly end looking at red a lot. That's normal but you should still fight it tooth and nail.
