Just as Mokou is still technically a human despite being immortal in a regenerative sense, achieving biological or even true immortality does not necessarily strip one of their humanity. The criteria for that is apparently fairly specific, and deals not with removing actual human need, but the loss of the appetites that derive from them, such as hunger.
