It doesn't really feel like Metroid AT ALL. People relate Metroid and Castlevania because of SoTN, and Koumajou Densetsu don't make use of the characteristic SoTN had that made it ressemble the 2D Metroids, like going back to the previous areas with new power-ups to access new ones and such.

(btw, my deepest thanks to the anon that posted that calm and refreshing playlist. I've been hearing it while reading doujins and it's truly delightful.)

I obtained a copy of Koumajou Densetsu 2, yet after installing it with applocale and installing both patches with applocale, it will crash every time I try to play it. Can anyone help? I've been searching forums and google for most of the night with no avail.

Hello, /jp/. I finished katakana a couple of days ago, and have started learning the grammar. I'm still at particles though, as something really confuses: the が particle.

ボブは魚が好きだ。
Bob likes fish. This much I can understand, as が is referring to something that was being talked about, ボブ.
Replacing が with は would turn this into "Bob" "Fish likes" I assume. Then:

俺の妹がこんなに可愛いわけがない
Why is が used here? Isn't the topic "俺の妹"? Why not は?

I'm not getting this at all, honestly. How do you usually use it? Practice, or by rule?

I've been trying to play Touhouvania 2, but after downloading the 3 .rar files off mediafire, every time I click on either kumajou2.exe or install.exe it just says it got an "unexpected error". I tried downloading that patch, but it doesn't do anything.
Anyone got any clues? I really wanna play this game.
