that didn't take too long, but seriously that's like 'Apple vs Orange'.

MM is a nationally known pop idol group that makes their money off selling CDs. AKB48 is a stage performance singing group that preforms daily in the Akihabara prefecture of Tokyo that makes their money off ticket sells.

It's hard to compare both of them evenly because even though they both sing they do it in vastly different ways. So I'll start with MM first.


MoMusu doesn't necessarily have to be good because it's already an established group. Anyone who joins is automatically considered 'good' by association. The 7 and 8th gen members are just little girls who quite honestly suck. The guy who runs the group is batshit insane and picked them more on looks then talent. He also secretly introduced 2 chinese girls for no reason.

MoMusu sings happy sugar sweet lets all get along songs.

MoMusu, being a large group, alienates their fanbase. You're not allowed to talk with them or even get near any one of them. The problem this causes is you cause the fans to develop a obsessive compulsive disorder and with skimpy photobooks pretty much ignore anyone female. Japanese guys who like MM will literally worship them like they are Buddha and do totally insane shit. This includes things like, buying photobooks for no reason other then to jerk off to EVERY SINGLE picture in them and buying 50 copies of a CD and then throwing all but 1 away, just to increase their cd sells numbers.

It's even better when you know the words.
