So, I want to make my own VN from scratch (so don't even mention Ren'py or anything)

Everything we learned in school so far was just shitty command-prompt Java stuff. I wouldn't have a problem making a VN in Java, but I'm having trouble with the "visual" aspect.

How do I get a window/etc in Java, and how do I do that sort of stuff?
