Here is a report for the US department of labor explaining the "wage gap." The conclusion of the paper:
>The wage gap statistic, however, doesn’t compare two similarly situated co-workers of different sexes, working in the same industry, performing the same work, for the same number of hours a day. It merely reflects the median earnings of all men and women classified as full-time workers.

Typically these statistics that women make 25% less than men or so on don't compare two men and women in the same job under the same circumstances. When you consider those points, most claims of a wage gap disappear.

Also, if employers are able to pay women a significant amount less money for doing the same job then why aren’t employers only hiring women?
