Yo yo youtube, this is shiokko13with another game review. Today we're comparing holocure to vampire survivors! This game got a lot of rerquests to lets just jump into it!
Poor choice of bgm, suspect is a great song but doesn't work here, too distracting, annoying even
sound effects are worse, and don't make defeating enemies and collecting coins as satisfying
Holo triangles don't stand out against the background as much as vs gems do
Level up screen seems really plain, players less likely to get excited for leveling up, vampirte survivors was slot machine levels of captivating
Poor visual feedback in general, getting hit or hitting enemies doesn't produce proper results leading to player confusion
Bacground art looks nice but is too detailed and distracting, elements obscure enemies
Poor enemy progression, players find themselves unable to wipe out earlier but stay alive in that state for longer
Camera is closer and movement speed slower which makes gameplay less exciting, though that could be just a personal preference
Power fantasy element not present, a game with hordes of enemies litering the screen where you don't get to wipe em out in droves seems misguided
In summary,
not as addictive or imediately appealing like vampire survivors was. Without the hololive brand attached to it the game wouldn't catch attention. Major revisions needed to give the game longevity and make it stand on it's own.
