Part of the reason vocaloids sound like shit in english is because the base of each vocaloid is a japanese non-native english speaker. And we all know how engrishy they can get.

Migrating miku to the states is a bad idea, if they want normals to care, they're going to need to make a completely new one from scratch with an English base singer, or else it's always going to sound awful and engrishy.

Part of the reason miku was a bad choice, even though she's popular, is because you literally need an english base to make her sing english properly, and i doubt her original base can speak english in a fluent sense.

So you either make miku sound completely different between her english and japanese versions, or make her sing engrish. Not to mention the anime style to her character design is very offputting to normals, as well.

37 seconds of recognizable tune of the song it's covering. Usually this part is amazing.
4 minutes of incomprehensible earrape outro

Even then, sometimes they'll put useless, meaningless crap over that glorious 37 seconds of "hey I kinda like this bit." Sometimes it'll be some overedited voice reminding you that you're supposed to be dancing to this schlock, sometimes it's just an annoying "woohoo" that covers up the best part of Hartmann's Youkai Girl.
