I'm kinda expecting AKB48 to release next a dance centric song featuring a KKS or undergirl with traditional idol aura as center, but after watching this video

and after learning about Fifty Fifty song Cupid, I wonder if AKS still has enough funds to produce a banger or a viral song. They could aim for three things

>status quo, just keep pumping out songs and getting them handshake events
>release a banger song
>release a viral song

In the past they could do the first option easy, but right now, AKB48 needs to release either a banger song or a viral song. What's the difference? A banger can be viral but it's more of a visual and audio spectacle, trying to make a statement, hyping up the group. This is harder but better in the long run for the group if they can achieve it. A viral song on the other hand focuses on being an ear worm, being as catchy as possible, and using the visuals to magnify that earworm. Performance take a stepback to the antics.

Basically they either go cool or crazy. But does it have to be exclusively?

My suggestion, if they are going to release a dance centric song, pair it with as much eccentricity as possible. Sort of like the Gangnam Style formula. This takes it to another level. Not only would they need to practice hard for the dance, but also their acting as well.
