While one may believe that Greenworms are out of their league on this one, they can actually be very helpful when it comes to making selections concerning the little ones. No Greenworm is going to let their lack of baby-making skills stop them from being useful!

One of the biggest problem that lots of shoppers have, regardless of what they're looking for, is the inability to visualize what the product in question would look like in use. This is especially true when it comes to shopping for baby stuff, as it can be hard to imagine what your little one would look like using the items. This is where Greenworms come in, with their small size, they can easily act as stand in models for some things. While a Greenworm is obviously a little too large to fit in baby clothes or most cribs, they can be a good gauge of scale for those things. If a crib can easily fit most of a Greenworm in it, it's probably more than big enough to give your baby plenty of room, and if the bars can support a Greenworm rolled up against it, then it's definitely strong enough too! This way, your Greenworm can be an indispensable source of information for whatever prospective parents need help!

With the couple next door recently getting confirmation that a new little one is on the way, me and my Greenworm went shopping with them to give them some help. As the prospective mother is a lamia, the crib she would need was going to be a bit larger than normal, meaning that my Greenworm was the perfect size to see what would be the best size for her coming baby. It was a little embarrassing lowering my Greenworm into an oversized crib at the store while the employees and my neighbors watched intently to see if it was a good fit. In addition to testing out cribs for them, her length was put to use to see what blankets and other products were the right size for a little snake. She sure was helpful in guiding their decisions!

After the neighbor couple finished buying what they needed, I decided to keep looking around the store with my Greenworm. At first my Greenworm was confused why I wanted to keep looking, but eventually understood. I told her that one day I hope to start a family of my own, so it would be a good idea to take a look at how much this stuff costs and what it looks like. We continued to look, taking note of the various clothes they make, laughing with each other about how cute they would look on a little one. Later on, she asked me sort of nonchalantly what made me want to look now, because you would have to get married to someone first. While taking a good look at a stroller in front of me I absent mindeded said "Well yeah, you of course". When I looked to see if she had heard that she was staring at something else, so probably didn't hear my mumbling. Deep down I was disappointed that she hadn't heard it. One of these days I'm going to have to tell her how I feel, I'm just not sure how. After looking a bit longer, we took a few brochures and catalogs to keep at home, in case we ever wanted to look at this sort of stuff again, want went back home for the day.

It amazes me every day how useful and helpful Greenworms can be, and I'm sure that you and your Greenworm can make many more memories helping out your friends with her incredibly diverse set of skills!
