Maybe that's exactly what we're doing, and we don't realize it. Maybe everything that happens to us, good or bad, is in actuality the result of our most inner wants and desires. Maybe everything we perceive is just make-believe, and horrible things that happen to us is actually our subconscious wanting to punish itself.
