In Kasens case she did obfuscate the true nature of the yin yang orbs and is very relieved to see reimu is entirely apathetic to the mysteries of the shrine. She does have a personal stake in keep the Hakurei God in its chastity cage and will play cloak and dagger to keep it that way.
