Of the three main brands of "full size" strike witch figures, The Alter are by far the best in my collection. The Alter boxes also have the delightful Engrish text on their packaging:

>"The world had the attack from the existence of mystery that appeared suddenly. Only girls who have magic can fight them. They install arms in am own body, and fight in the sky, the land, and the sea. Fights of girls who defend the worlds starts now."

The Kotobukiya are decent, but the blue bases are indeed bad. The "amiami" branded ones are very nice when it comes to detail, but their scale is off slightly and their bases are far worse than Kotobukiya.

If the amiami Perrine had been a true 1/8 it would have been my favorite in the entire collection, but instead I have those 4 figures displayed elsewhere.

So a few things arrived from japan today, but one of them got me wondering...

Why do Animu figures from Alter use English on their box art? These are products made for the Japanese domestic market, not figures bought through Diamond comics or any importer.

I noticed my figures from Griffon also have English nameplates on them and no Japanese text at all.
