I see, so she'll come as a type of spectator and will be conflicted about what to do as things go down... You know, I think I have the perfect conversation partner to put her with that should appropriately challenge her views and, maybe, come back to the Frens Reunion she's still recovering from. Her first ever Danmaku opponent and Gensokyo's weakest Youkai~
So, does this seem good:
>I'll write the chapter batch, Sanae will have some thoughts about Hana and she being protected by Suwako and Kanako, meaning she can't call them;
>While that you'll write Hana with them; the festival happening and, at some point, someone relaying the information that shit just went down and the Human Village is fucking burning; then write her reactions and if Hana will or not go there, with Suwa and Kanako staying by her side constantly
If she goes:
>I write a little interaction of her with Mystia
>then, you decide what side you take the Hana depending on her personal thoughts about the situation, likely with input from Kanako and Suwako who don't want to pick a fight with Miko and Mokou, focused solely on protecting the Hana from Yukari, who'll be watching
>By that point I should already be posting the end of part 2, and will proceed to part 3 with Hana's decision... not telling the details about part 3, though~

Feels like a good insertion of the Hana where she has a focus and space to develop her character but not overly mingle with the Festival's plot, since the main purpose of it is to give characters that won't be appearing in the Solstice -- aside from Sanae, who was just underdeveloped -- a spotlight.

As always, Keine came off as strong and concise to the others; she had a soft smile when asked questions, and when the march started, everyone that remained followed her lead without an ounce of fear… But I've seen Keine at her lowest and highest points—when she boasted about her and her children's survival and when she kneeled on the ground in pain, unaware of the death I had just bestowed upon her—and worry deeply about her wellbeing.

Hopefully whatever she hiding isn't major…

“You okay there, Mystia? I'll go sick if I don't see you smiling…” One of the humans that has been circling me nonstop for the past few days—Yuu, I learned during one of his many, umm, flirting sprees—stuck to my side and held a bowl of treats, copying the others in handing the candies to the onlookers around our march, my heart racing as the fireworks above thundered across the village. At least the sight of his wide smile as a child takes the candy and smiles just as widely makes my heart all warm. “Eyy, there it is! A big, cute smile!” He boasts, his loud laughter calling attention from others, knowing sly smiles and small gossip making me all flush—geez, are all humans like this?!

“I-I'm okay! I'm just…” I stare forward and get glimpses of Keine's black cloak through the crowd of humans and all sorts of youkai, Suzu standing by her side; it appears they were talking. “… A little stressed.”

“Stressed? But you're always stressed—full-time mother, cooker and revolutionary; stressed is an understatement~” I pout, though I don't hold it for long, as I offer a well-dressed, grown man a treat with the best of my smiles. He stares sternly at me and completely ignores the treat, and I can feel my wings droop as the march goes on, acid layering the back of my throat. “Bleh, dumbass doesn't know what he's missing.” Yuu steals the treat from my hands and eats it himself, petty rage rising inside.

“That's for gifting, you!” I yell-whisper, wings flapping up and down quickly.

“Heh, sorry~” He didn't seem sorry at all. “So, why worry about Keine? She looks fine to me.” That stops the fluttering immediately, one moment of shock following before resignation… Not that it mattered as we finally reached the plaza, Youkai and humans rushing to do their functions as they greeted and thanked the Kurodanis in the way, the Tsuchigumos sitting on roofs, walking around and, overall, appreciating their work—a work of art; to think they could create the entire facade of a festival in such short notice… Saddens and frightens me its background is heavy human weaponry and stares of absolute contempt.

However, the heart of a festival is the people and its blood the food.

Time to do what I do best: cook good food~

Taking a deep breath, I quicken my pace and soon find my Izakaya—perfectly built and stocked~Kurodanis are so very reliable—not noticing someone had stuck by me until I heard a little hum and, shocked, turned to see Yuu there, the absurd human already having snagged himself an apron. “Do I look nice?” He asks after twirling in place.

“W-What are you doing here?! Shouldn't you be working with balloons?!” I yell over the sudden crescendo of voices now that everyone is getting the festival started; food is being cooked, attractions underway and nice music is being played. The people watching from the sidelines couldn't resist their curiosity—and the signs showing prices so low it felt like a robbery!

Keine's plan is working~protests through good, cheap food and fun together; Mr. Hieda is unable to attack us due to the human shields that are the villagers.

The first step to—

— “Oi, Mystia, stop daydreaming! We're losing clients!” Yuu yells, and I almost jump, his voice punctuated by the last of fireworks that echoed as herd mentality took over and the festival plaza was flooded by morbidly curious humans, hungry Kurodanis and the lost Youkai. Tense and unsure on how to act, I watched as he fired all cooking stations and rapidly began preparing ingredients for the most famous dishes on my menu—wait, how does he know?! Did he get it all from watching me cook…? “Clients, Mystia!” He cries out, his eyes not leaving the knife he uses to cut vegetables—good—before, without need of asking, leaving to take the orders of the two excited Kurodanis that'd just entered.

I stared between the clients and Yuu… then let out a defeated sigh and went to work, years of experience guiding my hands as if natural, the smell of fried meat and diverse spices filling the air and attracting clients, routine settling—

“Don't worry about her,” Yuu says to my surprise, placing the orders on the holder above the stoves. “I know you wouldn't follow her if she wasn't THE big deal! Trust her as I trust you!” He then leaves to deliver the clients their drinks.

Huh… What a weird, weird human.

… It feels nice to have some help, though.

As the minutes pass, bustling conversation and children's laughter become more and more commonplace, shaping a true festival~
