the nambu is terrible and unsafe to even use. their lmgs were pretty bad too if I recall but the arisaka rifle is praised because of how overbuilt it is. apparently it can withstand cartridges with much higher pressures than originally designed for and some people rechamber them to fire bigger rounds with no modification to the action.

It's possible that Remi already had them from the outside world before moving to Gensokyo, it's not like there's that many authors in Gensokyo would could've written all those.
