What I'm talking about is just building a character, or building a perception that other characters have of you based on a limited number of opposing conversational tendencies. And you'd only get a chance to "build" that perception as opportunities arise through the daily dialogue of the VN.

So say you'd get measured on something like 4 to 8 possible responses to conversation, with choices that oppose one another like nice-mean, polite-casual, serious-humerous, confident-modest, and based loosely on a combination of what you pick, you build a reputation that determines how favorably or unfavorably other characters continue reacting to you, or if they become surprised by a sudden chance from your usual pattern of behavior.

The first end everyone gets is the shark end.

Even if you are told you will get the shark end first, you will stumble into it anyway. You will sit there thinking "what the hell, where is the shark? I'm sure I could avoid it if I play smart..."

And then you will get the shark. And you'll be like "ha ha, oh wow." It's virtually unavoidable.

Accept your fate, shark bait.

The reason guys get mad when a girl cheats but don't get so mad when a guy cheats is because, unusual circumstances excepted, the guy just succumbed to horniness and his unfaithful act has no deeper meaning behind it. He had a boner, vagoo was available, there's just nothing more to it.

By sharp contrast, a woman who cheats (again excepting unusual circumstances) is positively smitten with the new object of her lusts. It's a complete infatuation which ejects her current man from any position he might have had in her life. He is completely and totally replaced. Any feelings at all she may have had for the man she left behind have completely evaporated, as if they had never been there. There is no creature on Earth that is capable of being as cold to a man than his woman who has found a new lover.

It doesn't speak for everyone, but that's neither here nor there.

F/SN is better than Tsukihime but Ciel is my favorite heroine of all time.
