if the redditors think they aren't just coping because they haven't learned anything after spending years reading genki 1, why can't they just show X, Y, and Z people who have learned japanese to a high level to show that immersion isn't the only way? weird how everyone who has acquired a language always did it by being surrounded by native content

Why is it that some shounen manga don't have furigana and some seinen manga do? What compels a magazine to have furigana? Why would a magazine for kids not have it? Why would a magazine for adults bother having it?

What does the word romanised as 'daioh' mean in Japanese? I can't find a translation on Google with all the results for Azumanga Daioh. It seems like a very common phrase, usually preceded by 'non'. What does it mean?
