replay the audio a bunch, write it down a bunch or something? I just went through 20 cards and feel like i retained nothing

What are some good early childhood development tv shows and books I can get to help me with early jp learning on the side of studying?

I want other things beyond endless study to keep me immersed and motivated in the language please.
