I think it was that women (which includes monsters) are better at using environmental mana while men are better are using their own. Probably also why mamano couples compliment each other so well, one stores the power and the other refines it. Of course I would assume it's a general rule and not absolute, like how most men are taller than women but some women are taller than the average man
