I've been casually learning nihongo for 1 year and now I can recognize common words and phrases! I'm basically where I was in english when I was learning it casually for 1 year. The problem is I barely know the characters and the grammar. I can easly recognize most of the hiragana and few kanji but katakana is a different story. My grammar is also incredibly poor. Do you guys have any advice?
