Not too old, not too new either. Frankly, when you join doesn't matter, I've seen newcomers who have better grasp of the game mechanics than the 'veterans'. The most notable difference between the veterans and newcomers would probably be event experience which the newcomers are already experiencing the hell the older players have went through. All we need now is the devs to suddenly announce a Halo Sakura drop one week before the event closes.
